Things to Do in Virginia Beach This Weekend: October 2–4, 2026 |
Filipino food, cultural celebrations, public art, and fall family fun |

October’s first weekend brings plenty of reasons to get out and explore Virginia Beach.
From Filipino food and Indian cultural performances to public art and pumpkin picking, there’s something for a family outing, a date, or an afternoon with friends.
Here are four events to help you plan your weekend.
Celebrate Filipino Culture at Fil Fest USA
Fil Fest USA returns to Rudee Loop October 2–4, bringing Filipino and Filipino American culture to the Oceanfront.
The free, family-friendly festival features food, live entertainment, cultural performances, and local vendors.
Make it an opportunity to try Filipino cuisine, browse handcrafted goods, and enjoy music and dance while spending time with the community.
You don’t need to know much about Filipino culture to appreciate the celebration—that’s part of the appeal.
Festival hours are Friday, 4–10:30 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m.–11 p.m.; and Sunday, 9 a.m.–6 p.m.
Admission is free, so you can stop by for a short visit or make an evening of it.
Explore India Fest at the Convention Center
On Saturday, October 3, India Fest brings a day of cultural celebration to the Virginia Beach Convention Center, with hours listed as 11 a.m.–7 p.m.
Expect Indian cuisine, Bollywood music and dancing, fashion, vendors, and activities such as henna and face painting.
Admission and parking are free, making this another appealing option for a weekend outing.
Whether you come for the performances or the food, there’s plenty to explore.
Discover Art at the ViBe Mural Festival
For a different kind of afternoon, explore the ViBe Creative District as its annual Mural Festival gets underway.
Visit Virginia Beach lists the festival for October 2–11, with ten artists creating murals throughout the neighborhood.
The attraction is seeing the creative process unfold.
Instead of viewing only finished artwork, visitors can watch artists transform walls over several days.
Consider pairing your walk with a nearby coffee or lunch stop for an outing at your own pace.

Enjoy Fall Fun at Hunt Club Farm
If your weekend needs pumpkins and hayrides, Hunt Club Farm’s Harvest Fair runs through November 1 at 2388 London Bridge Road.
The farm offers a pumpkin patch, petting farm, treewalk adventure, and farm-tour hayrides.
Weekend activities also include food, a DJ, and games.
Harvest Fair admission is listed at $18 per person, with children ages two and younger admitted free.
Admission includes the petting farm, treewalk, and unlimited farm-tour hayrides; pony rides and animal feed cost extra.
Prices exclude entertainment tax.

We went to Hunt Club Farm last fall and my youngest wanted to ride the hayride again immediately. Glad it’s unlimited with admission.
If you’re visiting the ViBe murals, grab coffee nearby and take your time walking around. It’s nicer than trying to see everything from the car.
The Hunt Club Farm admission adds up fast for a family, especially with pony rides and feed costing extra. We may stick with the free festivals.
Ten artists working around the ViBe sounds cool. I might walk through twice so I can see how the murals change.
I like that India Fest has free parking. That makes it a lot easier to drop in for food and a performance.
Has anyone done India Fest with little kids? The face painting sounds fun, but I’m wondering how crowded the Convention Center gets.
Fil Fest at Rudee Loop is always a fun stop for us. My kids go straight for the lumpia, then stay for the dancing.
